Tried to purchase a new stick for my son. We were I. The shop for 10-15 minutes staff stood behind us and chatted amongst themselves without offering any assistance. When asked about a stick showing in stock on website was immediately told they didn’t have it, they did not suggest an alternative or attempt any form of service. When asked about the other stores was told it’s “0” everywhere without the staff person checking. It was a negative experience all around and from this I wouldn’t waste my time going to this store for its poor service. Oh I did my own research and found the stick in the North Van Source for Sports and had the complete opposite experience, they were very helpful.

review date: september 10, 2017 i'm from ontario and was doing research for the bauer 2017 flex warm-up pants. i would like to share my CTS shopping experience. back in august 2017, the only outfits that were coming up on google search for what i wanted were us-based sites. while i was prepared to buy from the states, if i can get a reasonable price and the item i want from canada, i will keep my dollars here. as a customer, it pays to shop around to get what you want at a fair price. to CTS' credit, (cts price match guarantee) they were willing go that extra mile, price matching on a competitor and special/back ordering specific colours i was looking for that weren't originally available. throughout all communications, justin taylor was very professional and caring, as if it was his own personal order, doing whatever it took to provide answers, and satisfaction. information updates were quick and timely. i ended up being able to get what i wanted at an even better price than the california website, factoring in extra duty fees and exchange difference. i just got my gear today, and the pants overall were worth the time and effort to purchase. (there were back-ordered items that had to be brought in from bauer to CTS b4 shipping) CTS, esp. justin, your customer service is greatly appreciated because here in ontario there is a lot of room for improvement with many of the retailers, to be polite. that being said, the next time you are in the market for hockey-related gear, give CTS a chance to earn your business. and if you don't see something on their website, inquire with CTS because they just might be able to get whatever it is for you. review update: august 25, 2018 this is an add-on to the original review. we did another hockey apparel deal for 2018. bauer flex pants CCM ballcaps and 9fifty bauer/new era ballcaps were ordered in late july and were received in mid-august. these were custom back-ordered items that to be clear, was not the fault of cts for the time delay. upon receiving the items my friend, son and i are very pleased with the pants and hats. we have gotten and will most likely receive many compliments. thanks to justin taylor, (and his cts people) for his care and concern in doing everything he could to make the deal a pleasant shopping experience. 👍 cts does price match with proof on qualified items. they also offer free shipping upon reaching spending thresholds. for more information, review their website. thank you CTS for making that extra effort to get custom items that southern ontario retailers are unwilling or too lazy to bother with! 😊 cheers to CTS-BC from southern ontario.

I bought a pair of hockey skates earlier this year 2022. After several months a problem arose…lace bite. I went back to the store and spoke with the manager John. He was very understanding, addressed my concern promptly and found a solution. Thank you for the great service. I highly recommend this store for all your hockey needs.

NOT A TRUST WORTY BUSINESS, SELLS USED SKATES AS NEW. I bought a pair of CCM Tacks AS3 skates online and received a used pair of skates. The skates I received were previously sharpened, had puck marks on the holder, multiple nicks from skates on the holder, sharpie marks, and the inside foams were obviously pre molded to another persons foot. When purchasing skates from any hockey retailer, you are never expecting to receive used gear so I reached out to Cyclones. Cyclones was very quick to respond to my email, the initial email I received was not very clear and implied that I received "banged up" skates from customers trying on the skates in store. I know that skates are only heat molded after someone purchases a skate as the process if done multiple could eat away the skate boot’s lifetime. I also know the industry standard is that skates are not sharpened until a customer has purchased them and once sharpened cannot be returned. I find it hard to believe that the holder would have puck marks or nicks as a result of customers trying them on in store as I was told by Cyclones through the email. I genuinely find it it impossible to believe that a well run, trustworthy business will sell skates that have been previously sharpened, baked and used as a pair of new skates. I think Cyclones really dropped the ball on this one. I cannot recommend anyone to shop here knowing they are willing to scam customers and sell used equipment due to a shady business model or negligence by staff. I will add though, that Cyclones did give me a $50 gift card for my inconvenience which seems almost irrelevant considering it was an almost $500 mistake. Overall, my experience knowing I got sold a used pair of skates does not sit with me very well and I think anyone who shops at this store should think twice before another purchase.

Teammate bought a pair of Hyperlight skates here, got them contoured and picked them up the next day. Poor guy almost tore his groin as they didn’t sharpen them. I threw them on my sharpener and it was night/day difference. I told him to call the store and complain as he spent almost $1,500. I wouldn’t and won’t spend my money here in the future. Travel out to the new hockey shop in langley. Worth your time and money with todays inflation.
